Labor Relations Labor relations has traditionally been kept at arms length
by the owner. In recent years, however, many owners have recognized that
they can enjoy improved cost control by playing an active role in the labor
forum. National and local labor agreements are now structured to provide
for a Tri-Partite forum made up of owner, contractor and labor representatives
to resolve plant and project disputes pro actively. It takes many years
of experience with the local and international union organizations to operate
effectively in the labor venue. CMM’s personnel have successfully
administered labor relations as the owner’s representative on over
four million man-hours of construction and maintenance activity. While
facilities and projects may change, the contractors and construction personnel
involved are drawn from the same population. This makes CMM’s labor
relations’ experience a valuable asset to the successful completion
of your projects.
CMM has years of experiences in the negotiation, administration
and arbitration of National Labor Agreements. Our contacts in Washington
with organizations like the NEA and NMAPC let us bring a wealth of knowledge
and support to any major project.
Today, more and more of our clients find that no stand alone
National or Local Labor Agreement adequately fills their needs. CMM has
extensive experience in structuring, negotiating and administering Project
Labor Agreements that are tailored to facility or project needs. |
