Construction Management Traditionally,
construction management has been either part of a general contractors overall
project responsibility, the design engineering firm supplementing the owners
staff, or possibly both. CMM has separated itself from the traditional
structure and function of either contractors or engineering firms. At CMM
construction management is our core function. We will act as your representative
in the management of contractor or plant forces independent of any
self-performance issues such as construction costs or design conflicts.
CMM has personnel well
versed in developing integrated CPM schedules as well as more basic,
user-friendly schedules such as bar charts. The type of schedule used is up
to our clients’ discretion and normally based on criteria such as
project size, duration, number of resources applied and tracking variables.
The base schedule is then readily computerized using Primavera, Microsoft Project
or the clients own internal program.
Providing our customers
with an accurate, detailed project cost estimate is often one of our most
valued services. CMM develops project estimates with supervisors who have
spent years in field construction and our estimates are unburdened by the
conservatism of traditional engineering firm estimates nor the liberalism of
contractor estimates.
With our international exposure to major products at a myriad
of differing facilities CMM can often bring new vendors and suppliers to our
clients with superior products and or pricing. In select situations we can
also handle field or project purchasing for our customers.
Our management teams have been put together using top-flight
contractor supervision and we provide our clients with the comfort of knowing
CMM can run projects with abilities equal to or superior to the best of
contractors.
With the extreme economic pressure on owners to maximize the
cost-effective use of internal personnel, the efficient management of these
individuals is essential. CMM can analyze the strengths and weaknesses of your
workforce to insure their optimal utilization.
The aforementioned skills make CMM a valuable resource in
tracking construction site extras and their timely resolution. Our diligent effort in this venue during
construction will often eliminate the need for the costly and time-consuming
process of negotiating claims on a post construction basis. |
